BEN HALL was
born in Leicester, UK. He studied fine art painting and animation
at Leeds Metropolitan University and graduated with an honors
degree.
He
lives in Manchester where he has worked inhouse for various
design and advertising agencies. Ben has exhibited at IMAGES,
the annual UK Association of Illustrators Best of British Illustration
Exhibition and has worked for UK and US magazines on a wide
variety of subjects. His clients have included GQ, Cosmopolitan,
The Radio Times, ES Magazine, Woman & Home, Health &
Fitness and he also produced a regular comic strip for Thrasher,
the leading skateboard magazine in the US based in San Francisco.
In 1997, he
was commissioned by Sieger Design in Germany to produce a limited
edition milk glass for Ritzenhoff Glassware and has continued
to produce glass and tableware designs for their collections
to date. Ben has also been commisioned to design writing tools
for ACME Studios in the US. He was among some of the world's
best known artists, designers and architects to participate
in these projects.
Today, he concentrates
on his work on canvas, taking his inspiration from pop culture
and continues to collaborate on design projects for ACME Studios
and Ritzenhoff.
